Welcome to Evans & Early Mortuary

Evans & Early Mortuary has been a part of the Salt Lake City community since its founding in 1890 by Sid Early.  Since 1934, Evans & Early has operated from The Salisbury Mansion, which is listed on the Utah Historic Register.  Designed by the locally renowned architect, Fredrick Albert Hale, the building is constructed of elaborately cut sandstone from the Emigration Canyon quarries and features four massive Ionic columns at its front entrance.  Although now operating as a mortuary, we are pleased that the structure still provides the charm, romance and integrity of a home.

Today, we are a proud member of the Dignity Memorial^® national network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.  We are committed to exceeding expectations and delivering a standard of service that is 100 percent guaranteed.
